Policies must follow federal and state laws and be clearly identified as Medicare Supplement Insurance. In most states standardized policies are identified by letters A through N. Each standardized policy offers the same basic benefits regardless of insurance company.
A Medigap policy differs from Medicare Advantage: Medicare Advantage is a way to get Medicare benefits, while Medigap supplements costs of Original Medicare benefits. Please note that Medicare does not pay your Medigap policy costs.
