- Enroll to a Medicare Prescription Drug plan.
- Enroll to a Medicare Advantage Plan.
How do I get my Prescription Drug Coverage?
- To join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, you must have Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) or Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance).
- To join a Medicare Advantage Plan (like an HMO or PPO) or other Medicare health plan with prescription drug coverage, you must have Part A and Part B. You must also live in the service area of the Medicare health plan or drug plan you want to join.
Extra Help with Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Costs
Medicare beneficiaries can qualify for Extra Help with their Medicare prescription drug plan costs. The Extra Help is estimated to be worth about $4,000 per year. To qualify
for the Extra Help, a person must be receiving Medicare, have limited resources and income, and reside in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia.
